LARGEST CAMPUS-BASED GREEN & SMART ZERO-WASTE HACKATHON INITIATIVE
To support the Swadeshi Initiative of Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modiji, and as the First Zero-Waste Edition, Govt. of India’s Smart India Hackathon, SWAMINARAYAN UNIVERSITY, Gujarat, India, organized the GREEN SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2025 under the leadership of SHASHTRI SWAMI DR. PREMSWARUPDASJI, wherein 120 students from various universit of India and 12 Jury Members from Govt. Authority participated in the Largest Campus-Based Green & Smart Zero-Waste Hackathon Initiative. The university first time implemented comprehensive eco-friendly measures, including a strict no single-use plastic policy, a three-bin waste segregation system, sustainable food service, water-saving practices, and green mobility initiatives. Participants served as Zero-Waste Ambassadors, ensuring a clean, responsible, and fully sustainable event. The event was conceptualized and managed by DR. RUPESH VASANI, VICE CHANCELLOR and was officially certified by World Records India on 9th December, 2025.
