SURYANAMASKAR AND YOGA ATOP OF MOUNTAIN SUMMIT (18600 FEET)
On the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day of India, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, West Bengal organized a mountaineering expedition and set a world record wherein 8 instructors of HMI performed a full sequence of Suryanamaskar Yoga atop ELBRUS Mountain (The highest peak of the European continent) 18600 feet and set a New World Record on 15th August 2019. The team led by Gp Capt Jai Kishan, Principal HMI comprised of Subedar Devi Singh, Havaldar Gajay Singh, Havaldar Pankaj, Aditya Mukhiya, Panasng Tenzing Sherpa, Umang Mukhiya, & Ghatraj Roshan.
