 LONGEST TRICOLOUR INDIAN FLAG CARRIED IN A RALLY

On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day celebration, DR. SHRIKANT SHINDE FOUNDATION, Dombivli, Maharashtra, India, in association with 100 supporting organisations and institutions, organised the “VISHWAVIKRAMI TIRANGA RALLY – KALYAN LOKSABHA 2026” and created the longest tricolour Indian Flag, measuring 2,125 metres (6,971.78 feet) in length and 5 feet in width and covering a total area of approximately 34,858.9 square feet. The flag was collectively carried by approximately 10,000 participants from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk to Zenda Chowk–Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Dombivli, Maharashtra, India. The record was achieved on 15th August 2026 and was confirmed by World Records India.
