YOUNGEST GIRL TO PERFORM BHARATANATYAM FOR THE LONGEST DURATION
Harshitha Arava (born on 22 March 2013), a 12-year-old performing artist from Secunderabad, Telangana, India, achieved a remarkable milestone by performing Bharatanatyam simultaneously in 2 hours during her Arangetram programme. During the performance, she flawlessly presented multiple classical Bharatanatyam items, including Pushpanjali – Ganesh Stuti, Alarippu, Pada Varnam, Hanuman Chalisa, Brahmam Okkate, and Tillana, showcasing exceptional stamina, discipline, and artistic excellence. This extraordinary performance was conducted under the expert mentorship of her guru Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy Garu. With this outstanding achievement, Harshitha Arava became the youngest girl to perform Bharatanatyam for the longest duration in her age category, thereby setting a new World Record on 25 January 2026 at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
