WRI Policy

World Records India accepts record applications exclusively from people of Indian origin. Anyone can apply to World Records India; however, in the case of minors, they must seek written permission from their guardians.

The form should be filled out with accuracy. Only a fully completed form will be considered valid. If the documentation provided with the form is not lucid or is incomplete, your claim may be rejected.

If you wish to provide additional details, you can write them on a separate sheet of paper and attach it with the application form. Signed statements of authentication from two independent persons who attended the event and can confirm all details of the claim, or a statement authenticated by a notary public, can be submitted.

In the case of a team or company record, anyone who is nominated by the team or company can sign the documents on their behalf.
Only original copies of newspaper clippings, videos, photographs, logbooks, and official certificates will be accepted. For documents like a driving license or PAN card, duly attested copies should be submitted.

While attempting a national or world record, the following guidelines should be followed:

  1. The presence of a World Records India representative is not mandatory to break or make a record. However, the attempt must be made in the presence of someone with standing in society, such as a District Magistrate, a School Principal, or a Gazetted Officer.

For a record attempt in a specialized field, at least one of the witnesses should be an expert in that specific field. For example, a renowned Painting Artist or a Art Teacher for a record related to Art and Culture category.

We may be unable to confirm your record’s status until we are satisfied that we can use the materials you have submitted in support of your record attempt in any media without further reference to you or any third party.

World Records India will not accept responsibility for the safety of participants or bystanders in any record attempt. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all necessary safety precautions are in place and that all equipment used is suitable and thoroughly checked prior to the record attempt, in compliance with any and all local health and safety laws and regulations.

Visit our official website, www.worldrecordsindia.com, or contact World Records India for the guidelines related to the record you want to attempt, before you start training yourself, so that you can be sure you are moving in the right direction.

You may attempt the record in a public place and also invite local media for coverage, which could be a part of the authentication of the record’s achievement. World Records India will be under no obligation to return evidence-supporting materials to you under any circumstances.

The panel of judges/evaluators’ decision will be final, and no clarifications or complaints on the judgment will be accepted.

No entries will be considered after the “closing date” (visit our website for more details).
