YOUNGEST GIRL TO OBSERVE UPDHAN TAP

Aacharya, Shri Mahapadmasuriswarji & by the guidance from Sadhvi Shree Kalpratna Shreeji ma.sa and in presence of Sadhvi Karunyadarsa & Jainamdarsha Shreeji ma.sa, it is a matter of immense pride and spiritual joy that TRISHA AXAYKUMAR SHAH, a 6-year-old girl and UKG student of Bachpan School, Nadiad, Gujarat, successfully observed Updhan Tap, a rigorous Jain spiritual discipline of 47 days. She commenced her Updhan Tap on 4th October 2025 at 5:00 AM and successfully completed it on 21st November 2025 at 11:00 AM, demonstrating exceptional devotion, endurance, and spiritual commitment at such a tender age. This remarkable jainism achievement set a new record at Varnama Jain Tirth, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Updhan Tap is a course of 47 days and its highly disciplined spiritual course in Jainism, during which participants live a life similar to Jain monks, observing strict vows, austerities, meditation, self-discipline, and spiritual practices.
