FASTEST INSTALLATION OF SOLAR STREET LIGHTS IN RURAL AREAS
In a significant move to Reduce Dependency on Conventional Electricity, Enhance Safety, Improve Security, and Promote Sustainable Development in Rural Regions. DR. SACHIN YASHWANT SHIGWAN, known as the “Solar Man of India” and founder of GREEN INDIA INITIATIVE PVT. LTD. executed an ambitious project under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the donor. The project involved the installation of 400 solar street lights, each featuring 15-watt LED lights, 50W solar panels, and 12V 18Ah inbuilt batteries. These lights were distributed across 25 villages in the Chiplun and Khed regions of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, benefiting over 22,000 residents. The entire installation process was completed in a record time of just 20 days, setting a new world record, officially recognized by World Records India on December 12, 2024, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
