LARGEST SKULL BONE TUMOUR REMOVED
Dr. Saraj Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at AIIMS Patna, Bihar, successfully led a team that removed an exceptionally large skull bone tumour measuring 22 cm × 16 cm × 7 cm and weighing 830 grams from a 29-year-old male patient. The complex procedure involved a craniotomy followed by tumour resection and was performed on 21st February 2024. The operation commenced at 9:00 a.m. and was completed at 4:45 p.m., spanning a total duration of 7 hours and 45 minutes and set a New World Record with World Records India. The successful removal of the massive tumour highlights the surgical expertise and coordinated efforts of the neurosurgical team.
