SCULPTURE TO SUPPORT UNITY OF RELIGIONS

Maendra. J. A. Alvares (Born on March 1, 1958) a sculptor and artist, founder of Big Foot, Loutolim, Salcete, Goa designed  a unique sculpture measuring 9 Feet X 5 Feet  named ‘Sangam’ using cement material to support unity of all religions. It represents the face of the Buddha is crowned with Jesus Christ’s crown of thorns, the River Ganga flows out of Shiva’s tresses and Islam is represented by the moon.
