MOST NUMBER OF LEGAL MATTERS DISPOSAL AND SETTLEMENT IN SINGLE DAY
The 1st Coal Lok Adalat was held on the occasion of the Constitution Day on 26th November 2019, in the premises of Judicial Academy Jharkhand, Ranchi, by the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority, in which, 9650 matters were settled and Rs. 374,01,41887/- were disbursed amongst 9711 persons on a single day. Land Compensation matters and the matters related to the serving & retired employees of the Central Coalfields Ltd. (CCL) and Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL), were taken up in the Lok Adalat. The Programme was attended by Her Excellency Smt Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand, Hon’ble Mr. Justice H.C. Mishra, Executive Chairman, JHALSA, and other Judges of the High Court of Jharkhand.
