 FIRST EVER VOLUNTARY CONFINEMENT(JAIL) TO PROMOTE THE BAN ON SINGLE USE PLASTIC

Rajkot Municipal Corporation and 94.3 MY FM from 23rd January to 26th January 2020 successfully attempted for the record titled “First-Ever Voluntary confinement to Promote the Ban on Single-Use Plastic”. In order to support the dream of clean India of Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modiji, RJ Abha locked herself to be freed if & only if the citizens bail her out by offering single-use plastic in the jail voluntarily for 72 hours to spread the awareness of the campaign, “Say No to Single-Use Plastic” in the Rajkot city. More than 500 kg single-use plastic has been collected from citizens as bail to RJ Abha and 71,000+ paper bags were distributed during these 72 hours This initiative has been acknowledged and appreciated by authorities, political leaders, academic institutions and people of Rajkot city. The said record was jointly attempted by Rajkot Municipal Corporation and 94.3 MY FM.
