 LONGEST LATERITE SCULPTURE

Maendra Jocelino Araujo Alvares (Born on 1st March, 1958) Sculptor and Artist from Loutolim, Goa , India has carved the longest sculpture of Saint Mirabai, the immortal devotee of Lord Krishna on  laterite rock on September 5, 1994. The sculpture measuring 14m×5m was completed after 30 days continuous work and he entitled the sculpture ‘The Natural Harmony’ with the motive to enhance the beauty of Goa.
